Making Out at the Drive In

My birthday plans got horribly ruined and my pie fight/oil wrestling party postponed.

With nothing to do, I gathered up Bob Dob and The Nip and decided a spur-of-the-moment drive-in movie would be the best way to celebrate.

And it was!

The Mission Tiki was a place I have been dying to visit for years. It's been lovingly restored and boasts $7 first run double features, hot dogs for $1.50 and encourages making out and steaming up the windows!

We decided on the Iron Man/Speed Racer combo, with Nip in his car and Bob and I in the convertible. On the way over, we stopped at a thrift store for some blankets and pillows and pretty much built a nest right there in the car.

Bob and I did the making out, of course, but we kept the groping to a minimum.

Two great movies, cheap as hell food (it was $20 for 3 of us to pretty much stuff ourselves) and getting to smoke while enjoying all this made for a fabulous night. And we got to take home souvenir tiki cups!

Can't wait to go back...this will definitely be a monthly outing.

Purpose of the Blog

It's been an amazing couple years for me. I did things I never thought I'd do, saw things most people can only imagine and visited places I'd only dreamt about.

Fun things to do that I never got around to doing - until now

If you are anything like me, you keep a list in your head of fun things to do. But people are busy and money is tight and the list becomes more of a Wish List than a To-Do List.

I've decided to go out there and start checking off items on my list. I managed to do a heck of a lot in 2006 and 2007 and I plan on upping the fun factor in 2008 (if that's even possible). Some things I've done once or twice and some I've only dreamed of doing.

Feel free to add anything I may have missed (or never heard of).

And most of all, if something strikes you as wild and wacky, JOIN ME.
